-Not sure if this is possible but I would like to suggest to make an npc which can convert normal headgears to style headgears.

The @alootid has been suggested more than once so maybe with support from more players it can be implemented.

The headgear conversion was a topic during the beta. Custom items can be converted to styles so that the current headgear can be hidden. Though when converted to styles all effects will be lost to prevent imbalance in-game (Randgris Doll+Baphomet Horns).
